When should my child first see the dentist?
When you start your child off with early visits to the dentist, you are setting him or her up for a lifetime of good oral health. By incorporating your child’s dental care into their healthcare routine, you can ensure that they are comfortable at the dentist and learn the skills they need to take care of their teeth from a young age.
We begin seeing children around the age of two, when they have some of their baby teeth. We will meet your child where they are and start with a “happy visit.” We will take your little one for a ride in the chair, look at their teeth, and help them grow accustomed to the sights and sounds in our dental office. We offer a special prize for each child's dental visit!
Our hygienists, along with Dr. Ruggless, are great with kids. Many of our team members, including our dentist, have children of their own. They are important members of your family, and we will treat them the way we would want our own children to be treated.
As your child grows, we will incorporate dental exams, digital dental x-rays, and professional dental cleanings to their preventive routine. If your child has a cavity in the future, we will make sure they are comfortable during treatment and give them high-quality restorations to protect their health and their smiles.
Contact our office if you have any questions, or if you'd like to schedule an appointment.
